These years’ Danish architects and designers rethink how we live and built. With famous examples such as The Opera House in Sydney and iconic furniture design such as the Egg and the Swan chairs, Denmark builds upon a strong tradition for design. Works by the “infant terrible” Danish architect Bjarke Ingels (BIG) are becoming world known, especially since he is building upon Ground Zero in New York. Spectacular samples of his work can be found in Copenhagen such as the WM-houses and the Mountain. His latest building in Copenhagen is the controversial Copenhill, a waste-to-energy plant combined with an alpine skiing slop (!) on top of it. Additionally to world class architecture Denmark is also internationally renown for it’s interior design (HAY), jewelry (Pandora) and fashion designs. We at BDP tailor-make your program with visits and interesting lectures by experts.
