The tiny, puzzling metropol of Aarhus is the 2nd largest city in Denmark and will be Cultural City in 2017. Aarhus, once called Aros by the Vikings, is surrounded by forest and sea and has a city centre with lively squares and charming cobble stone streets. Tours range from visiting the old Cathedral, to the world famous art gallery, Aros, with its “Rainbow Panoramic Walk” on top. Other tour options include the 3-star experience Old Town Open Air Museum, or a leisurely walk through the old town. Nearby you find lush greenery and lakes – and the charming maritime town of Ebeltoft with Denmark’s smallest city hall.
