The cruise season is in the summer, but BDP Cruise is always up to host special cruise calls. It happened in December in Copenhagen and in Fredericia, Jutland. On the 15th and 16th December we have introduced the guests on P&O Aurora to a December dressed Copenhagen with its multiple Christmas markets, glittering lights, taste of hot glögg and gingerbread - and of course, the fairy tale Tivoli Gardens. The special events were preceded by careful preparations in close collaboration with the cruise lines and destinations. Our expert team used their creativity and thoroughness to compile the excursions and create a set of experiences which makes Denmark memorable. BDP took care of 30 buses and groups during the overnight stay including the Christmas market visits and guided walks in Tivoli enabling guests to skip the queue and utilize fast track tickets.
BDP handles ships in all ports of Denmark. On the 24th of December, which is the most holy day of the year, where the Danes celebrate Christmas Eve, guests on P&O Arcadia experienced this special day in Fredericia. We had tailormade Christmas tours and activities, not to mention having shops only to open to welcome the cruise guests. The 6. Juli Garden marching band was playing Christmas carols and songs both on the pier and on the ship. Naturally, Santa Claus and Hans Christian Andersen paid a visit to the pier as well to say “Glædelig Jul”.
