Nordic Conference on Clinical Neurophysiology 2015

Client: Nordic Conference on Clinical Neurophysiology 2015

Guests: 100

Location: Hotel Marienlyst & Kronborg Castle, Elsinore.

Every three years, NCCN is held in one of the Nordic countries. The conference is planned independently by the respective country’s national scientific association, which has the full responsibility in terms of planning and execution.
In 2015, NCCN was held at Hotel Marienlyst in Elsinore, Denmark. This hotel was chosen due to the opportunity of having all participants stay at the same place, as well as the calm surroundings; there is no wild nightlife or shopping right outside. Apart from the scientific programme, executed in plenary and parallel sessions, the programme included a welcome reception at Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, and a dinner party at the hotel. Furthermore, NCCN had a large sponsor exhibition with 13 exhibitors on 65 net square metres, besides a smaller poster exhibition.
Important parameters for the client: The national committee had five professors from Danish hospitals participating; the client requested a conference at high academic level, while having the usual wide range of needs covered. The time factor was of great importance, as the resources were scarce; the academic programme was prioritized over the time consuming logistics. Through effective consultancy and planning, BDP came up with a minimally time-consuming logistics solution for the national committee.

BDP’s tasks:  Consultancy, project management and coordination/planning over two years, exhibitor- and sponsor management, participant registration and hotel administration, website administration, programme management, contact to all suppliers and planning of the social programme.

Testimonial: “We had a splendid help from BDP all the way through the process; from the planning of the meeting and designing of the home page to the registration and accommodation of the participants and finally during the busy days of the meeting.”
