AzAmazing Evening Copenhagen

AzAmazing Evening Copenhagen

A magical night at The Royal Opera House

Travelling is all about experiencing and immersing in new, exciting cultures – and this is excatly what we did when BDP hosted the event, AzAmazing Evening, in Copenhagen for the passengers on Azamara Journey.

Azamara’s mission is to enhance Destination Immersion and provide in-depth travel experiences that connect the guests to the heart of local culture – this is what AmAmazing Evenings is all about.

AzAmazing Evenings delivers authentic travel moments that bring guests closer to the destination, its culture and its people. It is a popular event amongst cruise guests worldwide and as such, it is a unique opportunity to show some of Copenhagen’s treasures and culture.

A magical night at The Royal Opera House

This AzAmazing evening took place in The Royal Opera House. The style of the event was a mixture of a high-end night out at the opera with beautiful dresses and a cozy-Copenhagen style evening.

Guests were transported from the cruise ship to Opera House on Canal boats this getting a glimpse of Copenhagen’s emblem, the connection and symbiosis with the water.

Since the guests had already participated in a guided tour in the morning, they could look at the familiar sights from the beautiful view of the Opera.

All in all, it was a magical evening. The guests enjoyed the music, the singers got a standing ovation and everybody had fun and enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

BDP welcomes three new colleagues to the team

BDP welcomes three new colleagues to the team

At the beginning of April, we welcomed three new colleagues to the BDP-family: Lisa, Lucia and Rebekka.

Lisa moved from Germany to Copenhagen in 2015 where she immediately became a guide for BDP. Before that, she studied history and politics and worked in the German administration. After four years as a guide, Lisa was hired as a Project Assistant in the Cruise department where she will be working on cruise calls. Lisa is openminded, thorough and dedicated. Her favourite place in Copenhagen is everywhere close to the water whether it is Amager Strand, Ofelia Plads, Christianshavn or Amager Fælled because it is close to nature, while still being in the middle of a big city.

Lucia is from Columbia where she worked in one of the biggest banks in the country. Recently she worked in an insurance company with responsibility for civil contracts. Lucia also has all-around experience at BDP and have been everything from tour guide to supervisor and freelancer in the cruise department. However last month she started full time in the department. Lucia is enthusiastic, dynamic and cares a lot about family values. Her favourite place in Copenhagen is Churchill Park and she loves to bike around the city.

Rebekka has a masters degree in Performance Design at RUC and a background in marketing, communications and event management. At BDP, Rebekka will be working with experience design and developing a red thread between communication and event. Rebekka is creative, innovative and has a digital mindset. Some of her favourite places in Copenhagen is the many art galleries and museums like Copenhagen Contemporary and Nikolaj Kunsthal.

Celebrating BDP jubilees

This autumn we celebrated three anniversaries at BDP. 15 years has it been since Ebbe Kiær, partner and director of business events, joined the BDP family. For Aline Roche, event and meeting designer, and account and operations manager, Peter Lundqvist, from our Cruise Department, it’s been 10years since they started their career at BDP. So how come they have stuck around? If you ask Ebbe, Aline and Peter, they all point to many of the same reasons: Inspiring, versatile work and good colleagues and values. Congratulations!
